Your neighbor, the game designer
The DC-MD-VA region is home to some pretty great creators

Anyone can be a game designer. And it turns a lot of great games were made by people in the DMV (Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia) - so many, in fact, that a few of us got together to create a catalog of locally-designed games:
Designed in the DMV is back out with v2 of our catalog of locally-crafted games! We're using these catalogs to engage local businesses and their customers with our creations. While the main focus is on TTRPGs, we also have a page of locally-designed boardgames such as Wingspan and Fluxx! (1/2)

Our goal: Create a thriving ecosystem of creators, retailers, and players. We want people to see that they can support local artists by playing our games — and encourage people to become creators themselves!
Of course, this means letting people know about when our events are happening. So we’ve set up this email list to do just that. It’s not a comprehensive list of all things tabletop in the region. Rather, we’ll share when game designers will be out there sharing our creations with the public.
